Fifteen minutes before their class was over, the rain poured. The weather in their area is unpredictable. One moment it shines so bright, a minute later it rains. But that day, she forgot to bring her umbrella. She changed bags since it’s a Saturday, night out time. Didn’t even bother to transfer things from the previous bag. The bell rang. And the students fixed their papers and books in haste. Some took their time. Maybe to just let the rain pass by then they’ll go home. Not with her and friends. They have to meet with their other friends from a different university. So they scampered out the room only to be met with lots of students stranded because of the pouring rain. The hall way of the building is full of students from all year levels. They felt like packed goods that moment. She felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked back and saw a guy holding his umbrella. He asked her if she wants to go to the other side of the building with him. Ooh, is this like those in the movies that “the guy and the girl shared an umbrella and they live happily ever after” scene? Hahahaha. What the hey you’re thinking too much! Yeah, no, it's okay. I'll stay here with them! She politely declined. She doesn’t want to leave her friends behind and she’ll only be left alone on the other side of the building. Her friends teased her. But that moment was long gone. She saw his back from afar. Holding an umbrella. Alone in the rain. Disappearing from sight.
