The eagle is a large, powerful, skilled bird of prey. They make a living by eating monkeys, small species of birds, lizards and chickens. An adult eagle weighs about 30 kg and is about 30-35 inches in length. You would be surprised to know that an adult healthy eagle can climb 11,000 feet. They usually breed outside human areas and build nests at least 100 feet above. The big tool to save the life of eagles is their toenails. Their claws are so sharp that they are capable of tearing apart prey in an instant. However, they are currently on the verge of extinction. The largest estimated eagle to date is the Hust Eagle. Julius von Hust was first seen in New Zealand in 184. So this eagle is named Hust Eagle. When their wings were fair, they were up to 3 meters wide and weighed 18 to 20 kg. At present they are extinct. However, it is surprising to know that there is a species in this eagle species which will look like a polymorphic human. This giant eagle can easily grab a prey weighing 7-8 kg, such as Hanuman or a monkey or a sheep. This species of eagle is called Harpy Eagle.
