A delegation from Starlink, a worldwide satellite broadband provider based in the United States, paid a visit to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) headquarters in Islamabad today (Monday). Ryan Goodnight, Director Middle East & Asia, and Ben Macwilliam, Head of Global Site Acquisition, were among the participants.
Chairman PTA informed Starlink officials that PTA will assist their operations in accordance with Pakistan's regulatory framework.
He also gave Starlink representatives an update on the Prime Minister's Digital Pakistan vision and the potential for high-speed internet in Pakistan's burgeoning market.
During the conference, the two sides also discussed the deployment of satellite broadband access in Pakistan as well as Starlink's future intentions to connect Pakistan to their global network
Maj General Azeem Bajwa (R), Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, and the Executive Director of the Frequency Allocation Board met with the delegation.
