Today is 8th September,World Physiotherapy Day. And I am a physiotherapist doctor. So the day bears a lot of importance to me..Greetings and congratulations to everyone on the occasion.
At first, I want to mention the name who is the Father of Physiotherapy. His name is Sir Pehr Henrik ling. Physiotherapy was spread world wide for his hard work.
#What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a medical procedure in which health care is provided by means of physical exercise, prevention of diseases and prevention of obstructive complications. Physicians of this method are called physiotherapists. Physiotherapists work on the development of human processes, pain control and healing, as well as the cure and prevention of permanent disability. The main feature of such medical practice is that the application of medications and surgical intervention in this way is to cure and cure various pain diseases with the help of physical exercises, massage, heat treatment.Physiotherapy is a science-agreed sociological treatment where healthcare is provided through physical exercise, thermal and electric eustemulation.(The treatment of disease, injury or deformation by physical methodology. Such as massage, heat treatment & exercise rather than drugs or surgery)
Physiotherapeutic physio comes from physical or physical, and therapy means treatment, as physiotherapy means the treatment of diseases by applying physical force or substance. The circulation of the vessels in the treatment has passed for many years. Physiotherapy begins from the very beginning of the sciences of the sciences.
Physiotherapy treatment is much outdated medical methods. In ancient Greece Hippocrates introduced physiotherapy treatment, with massage and manual therapy.
#The beginning of physiotherapy in Bangladesh-
The journey of physiotherapy treatment to independent Bangladesh began in 1972 through foreign physiotherapists to treat and rehabilitate war-fought liberation fighters. In 1973, RIHD (currently NITO) initiated a bachelor's degree under the medical faculty of Dhaka University on physiotherapy treatment in order to realize the importance and need of physiotherapy treatment.
#Why should we take a physiotherapy treatment?
If we think about various diseases of our body, we will understand that only medicines can not provide complete recovery of all diseases. In some cases, as well as drugs, surgical intervention is required, since some diseases require medication, as well as physiotherapy treatment. Especially in cases where the source of the disease is mechanical problems and degenerative or age-related problems, the likelihood of being cured with medication is relatively low.

After the graduate, physiotherapy have been particularly exciting topics, such as Neuro physiotherapi, Sports physiotherapi, Chest physiotherapi, Gainocological Physiotherรกpy course 1 or 2 years graduate course.
#Where are being teached physiotherapy in Bangladesh at present?
Currently in Bangladesh Nitore (Pangu Hospital) CRP, Public University, State College of Health Sciences.Dhaka has undergraduate and diploma courses in physiotherapy in 7 institutions including IHT.

#Work Sectors -
Different public and private hospitals have the designation of physiotherapists. Currently, the government has introduced disabled detection and treatment systems in the country. Disabilities Development Projects have been launched in 68 locations including 64 districts in the country. The main thing in the process of preventive treatment, development and rehabilitation is physiotherapy. The department of physiotherapy in specialized public hospitals and medical colleges hospitals of the country, in any case, is up to the ward. Currently separately physiotherapy centers are developing, due to which the demand for physiotherapists is increasing day by day.
#Respiratory Therapy -
Did you get infected in Covid 19? We all have a sense of how the crisis of the respiratory complexity has increased since Covid-19 Positive. In developed medical system there is a medical system that helps to heal a normal life with a variety of medical facilities in developed countries to enhance the respiratory complexity, reducing the risk of health care, with more medical procedures, including increased effective health care.
