Food seasoning
I'm glad to be here,I heard about this platform and I hope to have a wonderful stay here..
So today I will be telling us more about seasoning of food ,and I will be starting with the meaning of food and seasoning.
I will be starting with the meaning of food.
Food: Its a nutritious substance consumed by human or animal that makes us grow and healthy
Seasoning:it's what that makes a food sweet or enjoyed.it can also be what makes a food tasty.
In the world we are in today people thinks adding of salt or Maggi is actually what makes a food sweet but I can I say no. Looking at our great grandparents they don't really add Maggi or salt to there food instead they put locust bean which is called iru in Yoruba land.
Young ladies of today thinks applying Maggi or salt will make there food sweet.i feel it's the content in the food that makes the food you are preparing delicious. I have a sister who loves adding alot of salt in meal and whenever we cook sometime she adds some salt to her own food.I tell her too much of salt is not good in a meal and also I don't know how she's enjoying the meal because it won't taste so good no matter what you might have put in the meal .
In addition to what I have said above, people who sells cooked food applies different type of Maggi or salt in there food. Some put some seasoning that will make the food red and colorful but I feel they don't know it's actually not good to our health or they see it as a way they can sell there food well.
Yeah,I know we can't do away with Maggi and salt but let it be minimal. Let us cultivate the habit of using locust bean(iru) and cray fish. This two are very good In our cooking. I love this two mentioned alot when cooking.
I love to add my eru and Crayfish to my soup, I mean okro,ewedu,egusi,vegetables .Wow! It will be so yummy( I'm salivating already😜).
Alright,now I'm going to the effect or dangers of too much seasoning in our meal
✓ It leads to high blood pressure and kidney problem. Too much of salt or seasoning cubes is not good because it as high sodium and consuming much of this will affect the heart,it may lead to heart failure, stroke.
Let's all endeavor to stay healthy because health is wealth.
