War in trenches

I have found that everyone is complaining that they are broke. No money. Nothing in their bank accounts, no wealth to show for their hard work.

Though some people are pretending to be broke and I don't blame them for doing so. Because humans will see you finish. They will only be there when you have and when they need something from you.

Lot of people catch cruise with this of recent. "I'm back to trenches", Trenches here mean "a broke state" i.e having little or no money.

While this is somehow a joke, it is still the reality. I believe this is because we are all in a war and we don't know it. Physically, we know there is an ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. This has somehow caused a fall in some country's economy. Fuel scarcity being part of the effect of this war.

This is not only about the physical war. We are fighting each other, we are fighting our thoughts, feelings and emotions, our environment and situations. One thing about us is that you can never catch us being unhappy. We make every uneasy situation fun. So even if you are facing a problem, the cruise alone is enough for you to forget your worries.

Now my point is this, everyone is claiming to be in the trenches, whereas there are some who has more than enough but decides to get involved with the trend. No day passes by that I won't see one or two people post on their status of how they are back to trenches.

Lot of memes about those who are about to eat their last supper. Memes about owing garri seller. Memes about being known for drinking garri alone.

In case you don't know, Garri is a dry solid food gotten from cassava. Garri is Known as a life saver in my country. Even if you don't have any food, at least you will have garri. You eat it by adding water and sugar and it goes best with groundnut 😆. It is a fast food and it is affordable, though the price had doubled now but still, every average Nigerian has garri stored in the house to battle SAPA (hunger) whenever it shows face.

Everyone wants to be wealthy and successful but they feel like they're working so hard not getting anywhere. I want you to know that you are closer than you think, just a little step need to be followed , which is giving. If you have, make sure you give. You have to realize your value and the importance of your contribution to someone's need.

Your hard work is not in vain or useless, it is actually deepening your act of giving. We are all in trenches. Even the rich also wants to become richer. So we can help each other come out of the trenches and stop competing on who is broke or wealthy the most.
