Canva is a graphic design platform where you can make posters, youtube thumbnails, logos and other for free. And little di we know that its developer is a Australian Filipina, Melanie Perkins.
Perkins said that she was just 19 when she was first struck by the idea.
She was teaching students graphic designing and using Microsoft and Adobe and thought that is its pretty hard to use.
"People would have to spend an entire semester learning where the buttons were, and that seemed completely ridiculous," Perkins told CNBC Make It. "I thought that in the future it was all going to be online and collaborative and much, much simpler than these really hard tools."
It started from a small yearbook, created an online school yearbook design business, Fusion Books, to test their idea and it worked.
From there, a 32 year old women turn her scrapbook into a biggest company today worth $3.2 Billion.
The lesson behind this is to do what you love doing. Dream and never give up on dreaming. One day, with your hard work, everything will surely pay off.
