Bitcoin.com is probably one of the world’s most sought after domain names. And the company owning this domain name, also has an exchange, the Bitcoin.com Exchange. The website is owned by Saint Bitts LLC and provides exchange and wallet solutions to enable people to use digital currencies including crypto assets such as BCH, ETH, XRP, LTC, BNB, BTC and XLM that can be traded across more than 70 trading pairs.

Bitcoin.com Exchange Platform

The platform has proved to be a secure, fast exchange platform with 24/7 support. Bitcoin.com Exchange’s trading platform is mobile compatible and you can download it from both the AppStore and Google Play. Bitcoin.com exchange also offers leveraged trading to its users.

Exchange Fees

In order to maximise liquidity and narrow the spread on the markets, as well as to encourage market-makers, Bitcoin.com employs a ‘maker-taker’ model for fees.

“Takers” are charged with 0.2% fee from the trade.

“Makers” are charged with 0.15% fee from the trade.

Bitcoin.com describes its maker-taker model as follows:

In a maker-taker model the “taker” is a trader who removes the liquidity from the book by placing an order that matches immediately with an existing order on the book. The Taker pays the fee from the committed trade.

The “maker” is a trader who provides liquidity to the order book by placing a limit order below the best ask price for buy and above the best bid price for sell.

Example:

If the current sell price for BCH is 400 USDT and you place a market order, your order will be executed immediately. In this case you are acting as a taker and hence will be charged the taker fee of 0.2%.

If current sell price for BCH is 400 USDT and you place a limit buy order at 395 USDT, you are acting as a maker and will be charged 0.15%
