Are you living or you're just surviving?
It's Day two on my seven day writing streak. I almost couldn't write today because I had a somewhat boring day and I wasn't really in the mood to do any form of writing whatsoever but then I started thinking about my writing streak and for once I want to get to seven days without any interruption midway.
Are you living, or you're just surviving? This is one question I always ask myself whenever I'm in a tough place either by physical, mental or emotional strain. When there's just so much struggle going on around you, but you cant seem to figure a way out. it's at these moments that questions such as these come up.
There's a lot going on right now economically in my country. The presidential elections is just next year and there has been a lot of tensions. Ordinarily things were tough before, but there now seems to be a boost to it. The Crypto Market is not left out, with recent dips in market price there has been lots of panic, loss of jobs and different speculations flying around.
All of these financial constraints can take quite a toll on physical and mental health. Frustration begins to set in and you begin to wonder whether you're just going through everyday as it comes or you're actually enjoying it.
Survival is very important but while you're at it learn to live as well. Sometimes after a long run of work and continuous work, take a break and visit that nice restaurant you've been wanting to go to, that movie you've wanted to see for a while, or simply enjoy some quality time doing what you actually love. It helps to reduce the stress of trying to survive amidst all of the uncertainty.
You should ask yourself the question Are you only surviving, or you're living and enjoying life while at it. If the answer is a No, then something is wrong somewhere. But if it's a Yes, then you're on the right track.
Remember to always be positive regardless of the situation you're in. Good things come to those who're patient.
In other words, I'm actually finding it hard to sleep at the moment so I decided to do justice to a little bit of kuli kuli and garri (both common in Nigeria). After that I might just play some games on my device till I'm feeling sleepy (it's been awhile I played chess, I hope I still remember the rules of play). Anyways y'all have a lovely day and wonderful night ahead. PEACE
