A Bit of Rest Can Go a Long Way
I don't know why it has become sort of an habit for me because I start almost all my articles with how it's great to be writing for another day. Of course I'm quite grateful for good health both physically and mentally, which is probably why I always start this way.
There's quite a lot going on in the world right now, so it's only normal that we have great days sometimes and not so great ones at other times. Economic situations in a lot of countries are not looking so good, and the fact that we still have to make our survival out of all this is a testament to the strong will and resilience of the human race.
I take quite a lot of things seriously like my finance, my food but one of the most important up there is also my rest. I see a lot of people do more daily without rest and after long periods of time it begins to tell on their physical and mental well being. Sometimes this is not the individual fault as making ends meet is very difficult.
A lot or times I take days off just to relax, and at other times I just simply travel. As I find traveling and change of my environment from time to time can also help me relax. Currently I've been at my cousin's house for some weeks now and apart from writing and the occasional odd job, I've mostly been taking a rest.
Earlier I went to watch a football match, and one of my favorite team was playing. If you read my article about my Random week during the Ramadan, then the name Marlians FC should sound familiar. So they had an away match in the next area and I decided to go watch alongside my cousin. Although I didn't watch till the end but the match finally ended 2-1 in our favor. These are some of the ways I deal with stress after a days struggle.
Sometimes I see a lot of individuals struggle to create content, which is quite admirable in itself. But a little bit of break can't hurt anyone, there are days where you just need to forget about all of these struggles and give yourself a little bit of you time.
I can vividly remember sometime a few months back, I uploaded one of my pictures on my WhatsApp status and a lot of friends had to ask if I was fine because I was looking very tired. I realized then that I was feeling quite good physically, but I was doing some overthinking which was stressing me mentally. Ever since then, I always prioritize both my physical rest as well as my mental rest.
So no matter how tight your schedule can be, you should always create time out of it for rest. Remember you only have one life to live.
Once again thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my article. Stay safe, stay blessed and stay well rested.
Resting is very important and shouldn't be compromised especially when your mental and physical health is at stake. We have human bodies, not robots bodies and even if we feel strong determination in our hearts, we should still give our human bodies a break.
