Wombat Desktop Beta Review — Changing the way we play games!
Wombat has been around since June 2019 and has been a big part of my Cryptocurrency world. It has been growing ever since it launched, and they plan on being the biggest social gaming blockchain project. I am a firm believer that this project will be a key player in the blockchain gaming space. Womplay has a built-in multi-chain wallet that allows you to play blockchain games that run on different blockchain projects, which makes it an easy place to control all of your crypto game tokens.
It has been over 2 years (2 years and 6 months) since I first started using Womplay and it has been a great addition to my earning routine. Not only can I still enjoy gaming but I earn Crypto and NFTs while doing it.
If you would like to know more about Wombat/Womplay and get a more in-depth look into the Wombat Desktop Beta app then check out the video above.
Womplay Desktop Beta
When I woke up the other day I received a notification from Womplay saying that the Womplay Desktop app was available for download. I immediately got butterflies in my stomach. Ever since I started looking into Womplay I knew it was a project unlike any other. I knew this project would be a stepping stone for new and old blockchain gaming enthusiasts.
Wombat just released a desktop version of their amazing mobile app and Chrome browser extension. This article is going to give you an idea of how the Wombat desktop beta app works and the pros and cons I have come across so far.
Womplay has been a big part of my Crypto life, either from playing Dungeon Master, Playing the multiple games they have available, or using its browser to buy, sell, and trade NFTs. Womplay has so much going on it can sometimes be hard to keep track of it all but it has been one of the best earning apps I have come across. I wish I had the data to show how much I have earned but that would take me a long time to go over. I recently earned a couple of NFTs from Dungeon Master worth $3 together. The earning potential is definitely there, you just have to take the time to build your games up.
Wombat Desktop Layout
Wombat Desktop Beta has a clean and easy-to-use layout. Everything is easy to find and you are connected to a multitude of games, both blockchain and not. Womplay Desktop Beta has a simple but fully loaded layout.
Built-in Exchange
What I found the most interesting about Wombat’s desktop version is it has a built-in Exchange. This is new and is not included in the mobile version. I think this is an amazing addition and will allow exchanging that much easier which will allow you to invest in other projects easier without having to get out of the Womplay app.
Built-in multi-chain Wallet
WomPlay has a built-in multi-chain wallet that allows you to connect with multiple different blockchains. This is one of the best things about WomPlay. No matter what Blockchain the game you’re trying to play runs on you will have an easy wallet to receive, trade, and send assets. The picture above does not do it justice. I had to cover the majority of the picture for security purposes.
Wombat Security
Wombat has kept my funds secure. You own your keys when using Womplays wallet. So you are the true holder of your Crypto. Like they say “Not your keys, not your crypto.”. Womplay also allows 2FA to give your account that extra layer of security. Not only do they have 2FA but they also allow you to back your account up to your Google account.
Wombat Desktop Pros and Cons
Now I was going to create a decent size list of the pros and cons I have come across while using the Womplay Desktop app but I have only come across one con. I will do a short list of my favored pros and then share with you the one Con I had while dealing with Wombat Desktop.
Pros
-Multi-chain wallet
-Built-in exchange
-Clean layout
Cons
IDP.Generic alert when installing — When first installing the software I ran into a little issue. When installing you will want to install using administrator. If you try to install it without admin you might run into your virus software (mostly Avast) popping up with a false virus warning. You can either ignore this warning or directly run the installation using administrator. I have done the necessary research when this popped up and did some digging and this pops up sometimes as a false warning. If anyone can give a deeper understanding of what this means please leave a comment and let us know!
Final Thoughts

Wombat is one of the best play-to-earn platforms out right now. I believe it is going to grow into a blockchain gaming powerhouse in the not-so-distant future. With its multichain wallet, you can play any type of blockchain game directly from your Womplay app. This makes it one of the most sophisticated blockchain gaming platforms at the moment (opinion).
