A Passive Future
It feels like it has been forever since I published an article. Life has a funny way of disrupting your plans. I had to put creating on the back burner for a little while. Things are slowly getting back together though, and I can finally find a bit more time to create. I’ve always struggled with overwhelming myself and taking on too much. I either burn out or life throws curveballs that make it impossible to give enough time to all the projects I take on. Life is a never ending lesson to be learned.
This brings me to why I wanted to write this article. I wanted to make it a bit more personal and share my thoughts on passive income, how I’m making it happen, and whether I think it’s possible to achieve a living from doing what I love, and dream of turning into a full-time job. I know I won’t achieve anything if I don’t utilize the free time I have, but sometimes life can be so exhausting. I also tried to put more time into video creation and less into articles which I have found out is not working very well. Video creation takes a huge amount of time and being able to be in a quite spot for long periods of time. Right now that is not possible. So I am going to have to focus more time on writing.
This is going to be a short article, but I just want to give my honest opinion on passive income from Web3 and the possibility of making it a full-time thing one day. It is a learning process and finding the right routine can be one of the hardest things to do in my opinion.
Before I start, I want to let everyone know that I’m almost done with my latest “Guide to Tangled 2.0” article/video. In between my big articles/videos, I’m going to focus on writing and sharing my opinions about ideas, projects, and whatever comes to mind. I’m going to try to focus on one big project every couple of weeks and smaller articles a few times a week. I spend too much time, wasting time if that makes sense, and if I focus and write every night, I could post way more. Time management is not one of my strong suits. I love writing though and would love to get back into it and take the focus away from videos for a little while. I could write 10 articles in the time it takes me to create one of those videos. Time management and knowing what will work best for you is very important when it comes to trying to earn passive income from Web3.
Web3 and Passive Income
Web3 has truly changed the way we look at earning online. Surprisingly, many people haven’t noticed this yet. They continue using social media the old way, unaware that they can earn from doing the same activities on numerous Web3 social platforms like Tangled and Grill. These platforms allow you to earn from your everyday interactions. So, instead of wasting time on traditional social platforms like Facebook, I suggest you rethink how you use social media. If you want to learn more about these platforms, check out my YouTube channel. I’ve covered many of these platforms because I genuinely believe social media is changing the world, and now Web3 and cryptocurrency are revolutionizing how we use social media.
Social media is just one way to earn on Web3 by simply using the platforms (something we all do multiple times a day), but there are many other ways. The most rewarding method I’ve found is writing. Several platforms use Web3 technology to let you earn just by sharing your thoughts and ideas. My absolute favorite is a platform called BULB. BULB not only allows you to earn from posting but also from liking, commenting, and interacting with the platform. I have yet to see a blogging platform like BULB. It uses the Solana Blockchain, making it fast and easy to earn, exchange, withdraw, and even offers a staking option. If you’re on BULB reading this, you probably know exactly what I mean when I say BULB is a next-level blogging platform that uses blockchain technology to outshine any other blogging platform available.
I believe blogging is one of the best ways to earn passive income by sharing some of your favorite platforms and using your referral links. This is a great way to start earning passive income from anyone who enjoys your article and signs up, while also supporting some of your favorite platforms. This will help you start earning more, but I think these should be spread out. I’ve been writing about earning platforms for years now, and I can tell you it’s hard to ensure you only share the best. Some platforms seem amazing but end up not working out. If this happens, you could be blamed by some of your readers who signed up using your link. It’s always good to do your research and make sure the platform you’re sharing is worth it and safe. It’s easier said than done, though. There are so many platforms popping up these days, it’s mind-blowing. Take your time and research. Information is power as they say. The cool thing about blogging is that you can blog about anything. You do not have to talk about earning platforms. You can share about your life, gardening, gaming, and pretty much anything you can think of. No matter what if you put your heart into it you will find some people who enjoy your thoughts and decide to support your writing journey. Being yourself will go a long way if you decide to blog. Believing in what you are creating is the first step to creating something that can take you to the next level. Having Passion and creating passive income go hand in hand in my opinion.
Not only can you earn from social media and blogging, but you can also earn from playing games. It sounds kind of crazy because these are things I do every day anyway. So why not earn from them right? I feel like a good amount of people have become comfortable in the way they do things and are afraid to try something new. If you are reading this and you have not tried platforms like these or have really messed around with Web3 then I say take a second to explore a little. Instead of binge scrolling on your phone or playing Call of Duty (do not get me wrong I love that game), check out these platforms and learn how they work a little. Once you start seeing what these platforms are capable of and what Web3 is capable of I promise you are not going to look at social media, blogging, or gaming the same again.
My top favorite way to earn from gaming is called ZEBEDEE (ZBD), use referral code = G96DF6 if you decide to sign up to help support my passive income journey. ZBD allows you to earn Bitcoin using the lightning network just for playing small games and taking surveys. They also have an amazing referral system. One of my other favorite games is called Pixels. You can earn from this game while building a whole farm where you can mine, grow crops, furnish your house, cut trees, make food, and so much more. You are in a world with tons of other players and you can talk trade and interact freely. It’s a truly one-of-a-kind gaming world where everything has value, and you can actually earn real money just by playing it.
I know what a lot of people are going to say, cryptocurrency is not real money. Well, I think you need to take a good hard look at these prices and how fast this technology is being adopted and growing. Take a second to truly look at how this technology works and do not think in terms of small scale in what it can do for you but think bigger as in what it can do for the world. Paper money was an experiment. That experiment is over now that we have the technology to send microtransactions across the world in a matter of seconds and see the data from the transfer on an open ledger. Let me tell you a little secret, fiat is not real money to me anymore. Once you see what this technology is capable of, you’ll constantly be thinking about the possibilities it holds.
Patience, Dedication, and Persistence
To be honest, I have no idea if creating passive income from Web3 is even possible because all of this is still in the early stages. The term Web3 didn’t even come around until 2014 when Gavin Wood (co-founder of ETH) first started bringing the idea to fruition. So, it’s only been 10 years since the idea was even thought of. Many of these platforms are even younger than that. Tangled was just launched a year ago, and BULB token in 2021. So, to be totally honest, I have no idea if these platforms will work out or if Web3 will ever become main stream. It is growing but things can change in the blink of an eye if governments get more involved.
However, my gut feeling tells me this is the beginning of something truly world-changing. We are witnessing the creation of a whole new market, and taking back of our digital value from these major, exploitative companies makes me one of the happiest people alive. Web3 is allowing us to start earning from our attention and time. It used to be the other way around (well, it still is for now) where these major companies earned from your attention and time. The more ads you see, the more revenue these companies rake in. The more tracking you allow, the more these companies learn your behavior and sell it to advertisers. We have been digitally robbed for way too long and it’s about time something comes along that allows us to get our power back.
So, to answer the question, “Is passive income from Web3 possible?” Yes, I think it is, but we need to look at the word “passive” a little differently. Can we now think of using social media, blogging, and playing games as forms of passive income? We do these things for free every single day, but what happens when we start getting paid for them? Is this creating a new form of passive income? I know passive means doing little to no work, but what happens when what used to be work just turns into your average digital day? So when it comes to earning a passive income from Web3 it requires dedication, patience, time, and research. You need to know what platforms are going to make it. There is no for sure way of knowing which ones will make it but by doing your research and taking the time to look into platforms will definitely help. Good luck in your passive journey and who knows maybe all of this will be worth it one day. Either way I am at least enjoying what I am doing and in the end that is all that truly matters.
Thanks for reading. Please like, follow, and comment to help me grow. I am going to be focusing more on my articles and less on the videos right now. Time is not on my side and video creation takes a good amount of time and that is something I do not have right now. Writing on the other hand can be done just about anywhere using your phone or laptop. Another reason why blogging is one of my go to earning options when it comes to Web3. I am still going to create videos but only a couple a month until I can get more time. I plan on posting articles more for now and get back to my roots. Like I said earning a passive income through Web3 is all trial and error. Finding what works best for your circumstances. Stay safe out there everyone and remember to smile. Today is a new day.
