The Bangladesh Workers Party has demanded the withdrawal of the decision to stop Indian onion exports to the country.

Leaders of the Workers Party Dhaka Metropolitan Committee expressed anger over the sudden unannounced decision to stop onion exports to Bangladesh.

Workers Party Dhaka Metropolitan Committee President Abul Hussain and General Secretary Kishore Roy made the demand in a statement on Thursday (September 18th).

Calling on the Indian government to reverse the decision, the leaders said that onions have already disappeared from the Bangladeshi market as a result of India's announcement.
