Popular drama actor KS Firoz has passed away. He breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital around 8:30 am on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
Born in Barisal, the actor got a commissioned job in the Bangladesh Army in 1986. He retired in 1986 while serving as a major. He was first seen on television in the play 'Deep Taboo Jwale'. His first movie was Lawarish. He has also acted in 'Sankhanad', 'Banshi', 'Chandragrahan' and 'Brihannala'.
He was admitted to CMH on Tuesday with corona symptoms including fever and shortness of breath. Initially doctors spoke of pneumonia. He was later placed on ventilation as his condition worsened. There he died.
