The Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment has said it will take steps to send workers to Cambodia, Poland, China, Romania and Croatia as part of the alternative labor market. After the discussion, the committee has recommended immediate implementation of the initiative to send workers to these countries. The committee is chaired by Anisul Islam Mahmud. Ali Ashraf, Moazzem Hossain Ratan, Ayesha Ferdous and Pankaj Nath participated in the meeting. The committee suggested taking appropriate steps so that he could return to the country in time. The committee was informed that a special allocation of medicines and relief items worth around Tk 11 crore has been distributed among the distressed and unemployed expatriate workers through the Labor Welfare Wing of Bangladesh Mission to assist the expatriate and repatriated workers. The meeting was informed that a project has been taken up by the Earners Welfare Board.
