Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the symbol of the soil of this country and the hopes and aspirations of the people. He has nurtured non-communal consciousness since childhood. As a teenager, he spoke about the plight of his school to visiting East Bengal Chief Minister Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy. He boycotted classes with the students of the school due to the mismanagement of the school system, which led to the return of education and discipline in the school. He then went to Calcutta to study at Islamia University. A terrible famine started in 1943, millions of people were dying in Bengal. Bangabandhu wrote in his unfinished autobiography, 'At this time I left school and jumped into the service of the famine victims. I opened many langarkhanas. I would give food once a day. I opened langarkhana in the Muslim League office, in the Calcutta Madrasa and in many other places. I worked all day and at night I would come back to the Baker Hostel, one day I would lie down at the table of the league office. ' In his student life, Bangabandhu used to stand by the students in times of danger. What is the problem of any student, no student got a place in the hostel, who needs free match; If you tell him the principal said. Zuberi used to go to Mr. and appear. Bangabandhu could not bear the suffering of the miserable people. Whenever he saw any injustice, he would immediately protest.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has struggled all his life to establish a happy, prosperous, democratic and just Bangladesh. The political and economic liberation of the people of the country was his meditation and pursuit. He had to spend a quarter of his life in jail from the beginning of his anti-British struggle to the independence of Bangladesh. In his 55 years of life, Bangabandhu was imprisoned for 482 days. He was also the inspiration for the war of independence which started in 1971 under his courageous leadership in the struggle for the rights of the deprived people. After independence, when Bangabandhu started rebuilding war-torn Bangladesh, domestic and foreign conspirators started conspiring. This conspiracy was not only against the individual Mujib, it was against the state of Bangladesh and its ideology.

For the man for whom we have got a country today, a flag, a national anthem; That man was brutally killed along with his family in this country. Some of the Bengalis he had trusted all his life had killed him. This tragic history of betrayal is not to be forgotten. What could be more sad than this, more painful than this for the Bengalis. That stigmatized chapter of history was written on the night of August 15, 1975. On this day, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the best Bengali nation for thousands of years, was killed along with his family. The assassination of Bangabandhu took Bangladesh far away from its principles and convictions. Apart from Bangabandhu, his wife Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib, son Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal and 10-year-old son Sheikh Russell, daughters-in-law Sultana Kamal and Rosie Jamal, Bangabandhu's only brother Sheikh Abu Nasser and Bangabandhu's security officer Colonel Jamil were killed at Dhanmondi's house on the night of August 15. The house of Bangabandhu's nephew Juba League leader Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni was also attacked. Twenty-six people, including Bangabandhu and his family and relatives, were brutally killed that night. Bangabandhu's daughters Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana survived as they were staying in West Germany at that time.
