Another Rakhine village has been set on fire by the Myanmar army. Two locals were shot dead along with a fire in the Kyuktao area of the state on Thursday night.
"My son was confronted by Kyuktawe army members on his way home from work on a motorcycle," said Yu Neo Mang Hla, the father of Ko Mong Nint Win, who was attacked by Myanmar troops. They ask him to show them the way. The soldiers attacked when there was an explosion near the village.
Irabati said this to refer to the relatives of the victims.
Soon after, army trucks surrounded the entire village and the villagers were told to leave their homes. The soldiers then looted the locals' houses and set fire to the houses.
More than 200 of the village's 400 houses have been reduced to ashes, according to Yu Neo Mang Hla.
