The heart is one main essential organ of the body and it has so many functions when your heart ceases to work, then I am afraid my friend, count yourself a deadbody.

Your heart I the hub of your circulatory system and it is an exceptionally hard worker. If you are an adult, your heart likely beats over 100,000 times per day.Even when you are at rest.your heart muscles work hard even twice as hard. And when n eccessary your heart can double its pace within 5 seconds. In adults, cardiac output varies from 5 liters a minute.5 liters being the approximate amount of blood in the body to as much as 20 liters a minute during exercise.

Your heartbeat is controlled by what has rightly been called, drinking designed nervous system. This system ensures that the lungs upper chambers contracts before its lower chambers by delaying contraction of latter by a fraction of a second.Interestingly, the lupdub sound that the doctors hear through the stethoscope emanates from closing heary valves, not from pulsating heart muscles.

A billion beats

As a general rule,an animals heart rate varies inversely with it a body size. That is the bigger the animal, the slower the heart beat. For instance,an elephants heart beats on average 25 times a minute.

Most mammals appear to have a lot expectancy of roughly a billion heartbeats. Therefore mouse with 550beats a minute, may live close to three years.whereas a whale with a heartbeat of roughly 20beats a minute, may love close to 50 years.Humans are exception.Judged by our heart rate, our lifespan has to be about 20years. A healthy human heart, however, may beat may beat 3 billion yes or more and thus lib to about 70-80yars.

Even so,none of us would like to limit our lifespan to set a number of heartbeats.because deep down, humans yearn to log forever.

Thank you!
