Part II - Lili
As my dear N brought Nik home from the hospital things around our appartement started to change, but as much as we were prepared, well yes, we were well prepared. All things fell into place.
Lili was completely charmed by the little man and ar first we had to struggle for her not wanting to do everything. She wanted to change his diapers, put him to sleep, she wanted to check on him every few minutes.
As we carefully explained that less help is needed without pushing her away she was already practicing care and play on toddlers on the playground. She just joines a toddler if shes one, explains to their mother that she'll play with them as practice for when her brother Nik grows up just a little bit. She also tells all the mothers if the kids have runny noses, dirty hands, ... Sometimes it really gets awkward as she's basically telling random (fresh) mothers they're not doing their job perfectly, lol, sometimes even adding "you should be ...", and then I apologise ... And she wipes the childrens noses, and helps them with playing outside. She's amazing.
And she loves Nik.
