Us, Lili and NIK
Part III - Nik
Nik is our second child. And we decided he's definitely the last we're having.
He was born as a small child, thin. We were a bit worried how he will catch up as he only was 2.700g as he was released from the infirmary.
We had a great first experience with Lili. She slept for 6 hours every night from day 1, she never used her diapers while sleeping and we noticed that they were dry and clean every morning, so we just did not use any during the night. And it all went well. She did not peenor soil her bed, not once. She never cried. She slept, ate and observed. That's all. But she did not 'speak' either. We waited for months to hear her (non 'I'm hungry' crying) voice.
Skip to the age of 5.5years and we got Nik. We expected that we already used our 'Joker card' and he'll be problematic. It was all going great as it turned out. He unbeleavably quickly gained on weight and he's growing at an astonishing rate. When he had his first visit to the pediatrist they were surprised he was over 4kg already and measured a few times.
The interaction between siblings is perfect, Lili is proud of her brother, she feels needed and wanted. We managed to explain that there is not more of us to divide the love, there is more love to be shared by us. And she understands. She deeply understands the concept.
This morning Lili is watching cartoons and Nik is observing Lili and the surroundings. Every now and then they look at each and smile, perhaps Lili tickles him a bit, but always returns to watching the cartoon.
So much love it's hard to explain.
