A man like Enoch who believed and walk with God despite his being born a sinner, God took him physically to heaven to live with him. Enoch did not die because God took Enoch as His own because he walked with God.
The son of Enoch named Methuselah became the man who lived the longest on earth. He lived 969.
Genesis 5:25-29 [25]When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech. [26]After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived another 782 years, and he had other sons and daughters. [27]Methuselah lived 969 years, and then he died. [28]When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son. [29]Lamech named his son Noah, for he said, “May he bring us relief from our work and the painful labor of farming this ground that the lord has cursed.”
Despite the many years that passed, God did not change His mind about His judgment of the earth because of Adam's sin. Mankind suffered the hardship of toiling for food because God cursed the ground. What God promised to do, He does for God cannot lie.
Genesis 5:30-32 [30]After the birth of Noah, Lamech lived another 595 years, and he had other sons and daughters. [31]Lamech lived 777 years, and then he died. [32]After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Death ruled the world since then until now because of SIN. It all started because Adam listened to the words of Satan and did not believe in the word of God.
