5 years of bitcoincash being cash

Some days are special and will forever be a day to reckon with in history. 1st of August 2017 is one of such. Just like the famous conjoined twins separated by Dr Ben Carson at the John Hopkins children center, Bitcoincash was forked from bitcoin. A step that will go on to be one of the greatest gifts to mankind.

Bitcoincash is as old as bitcoin itself but 5 years ago was the birth of this light of hope. A baby born to uphold Satoshi’s vision, a baby born to serve both the rich and poor, born to save the masses from the clutches of the government, institutions and regulations, to save the world from the small blocks, a baby with lightning speed and with the hope of general adoption.

Propaganda and hates

Like every kid, Bitcoincash faced a lot of challenges. Most significantly from people who believe Cryptocurrency isn't a currency. They saw what Bitcoincash could do. Imagine a baby born just yesterday already having a lot of merchants accepting it, having a loving and strong community, accepted by both poor and rich. They feel threatened so they resorted to attacks in form of disguises.

They censor Bitcoincash-related posts on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and other platforms where the little but powerful baby could grow. They spread lies, created fear, manipulated the price and even go as far as paying to get bots to bully the lovers of this precious baby.

Bitcoincash laurels

Despite the numerous attempts from different quarters to truncate Bitcoincash's growth, like the biblical Joseph it's been coming out of each challenge stronger.

At just 5 years of independence, Bitcoincash can boast of having the highest number of merchants/shops accepting it worldwide.

It can boast of having one of the lowest transaction fees. This is something not many can say they do.

The fast transaction is another adorable trait of our dear Bitcoincash. Within the twinkle of an eye, you can send it to any part of the world with ease. The same can't be said about the small blocks.

At just 5 Bitcoincash can boast of a fast-growing sidechain with a lot of potential and space for growth. Today SmartBCH is standing strong despite the problems it encountered in recent times, this is only possible because it came from a token with a great foundation.

Saving Lives

One of the most beautiful things about bitcoincash is its love and caring community. Through various flipstarters, several projects have been developed. The way people rally around to donate to a great course is admirable.

Have you heard of eatBCH? That's another medal won by BCH in the last 5 years. Over 1000 kids have been fed through this project.

Our loving readcash and noisecash are another testament to what BCH has birthed. So many people have benefited from this.

Hope for the future

In just five years numerous things have been achieved, imagine what will be the case 10 years from now. It will be at the fore front as the world latest peer to peer cash. Though price might be down currently due to some external reason or the other, but soon Bitcoincash will be in the driving sit and those who cared about this baby and spread the adoption will be glad they did.

While other cryptocurrencies are working towards giving power back to the Government and institutions. Bitcoincash is giving the power back to the people. The power over your money and freedom which we all desire.

Bitcoincash is 13 years, it’s the true bitcoin and the sole hope of Satoshi's vision. As we celebrate it 5 years of independence, whether one got to know about Bitcoincash yesterday, last week or year or 5 years ago, just know you’re lucky to know about it this early and if you are spreading it adoption one way or the other, this celebration is about you too.
