To get infected or stay inside

This is just a rant because I am honestly frustrated in all aspects about what's happening to my country. The government is honestly soing nothing but making everyone stay inside. Their best measure for this pandemic is increasing military personnels on guard and risking their lives aside from the already overexposed and overworked healthcare workers who, instead of receiving help via increased hazard pays and overtime pay get nothing. Gratitude is not enough to replace what time and what sacrifices both they and their families have made. The mass testing could have helped but no. They failed to even acquire testing kits. Their priorities was everyone within the government and some select VIPs and it's just sickening. And when cheaper, local test kits were produced by the university of the Philippines, i don't think those were even utilized at all. Not to mention all the backlogs for test validation that now keeps piling up because of a great lack in personnel and in equipment which the government isn't even providing anymore. Not to mention the funds allocation from the very start was all wrong. Sure the people need funds to survive through this but if an earlier warning of a lockdown was headed then it would have been alloted to better use on countering this pandemic like for PPEs and for testing kits, materials, etc.

What's even more frustrating now is that the government keeps boasting about how things could've gone much worst had they not implemented a lockdown. No, they basically have nothing to boast for. The numbers aren't decreasing, the curve isn't flattening and having the people themselves apply for a rapid testing certificate shows how much the system has failed. The lockdown implemented here has already surpassed 100 days, much longer than any other southeast Asian nation and then number of active cases and confirmed cases is also the highest here. What is there to boast about. Is the system asking for a purge? With almost 50,00 cases now? And nothing but lies? Yet they plan to lift the lockdown soon out of pride with their new normal guidelines? And the fact that hospitalization fee here would surpass some 200,000 if you contact the virus. It's infuriating, specially with the fact that the hospitals will not admit a patient unless they're practically dying already. This country is just astounding.
