It's been a while (again) since I last dropped by UmU
That was mainly because I went to visit my grandmother for the past few days. I had to rescue her from boredom and I was thinking that traveling would be a great way to distract myself while waiting for the board exam results. So on Thursday, I traveled north to where my grandmother's house is. Getting there took about 5 hours of my life (in which 2 hours of it was spent dozing off in the bus). I tend to sleep a lot when I travel because it is extremely tiring plus cars just make me dizzy in general so I usually sleep it off.
While there, I had a house tour and the repairs were extremely overwhelming, everything was so dusty. Luckily I met a cat that kept me company.
Her name is Miles. I think my grandfather mostly takes care of her but still. She's a sweet cat that has a thing for clinging. The following day, me and my grandma traveled down south. We went to my uncle's house in cavite. At 5am, we got up, packed up and booked a cab because I swear, she had way too much stuff she wanted to bring again. It always feels like I'm running away when I travel with my grandma. Always so tiresome.
The main reason we had to go there was so that I could receive an axie account and a few axies which was enough to start a team. I'm pretty sure they aren't strong ones but at least it's a good start? Anyways. Me and my cousin both have accounts and axies now and we're trying to remind each other to play because that's still extra income in a sense and I'm already a fan of games anyways.
I also took my sweet time exploring out back where I found the banana tree that always gave us yummy bananas.
Also.... Another cat friend 😅😅😅 I have a feeling I'm an animal magnet in one way or the other. Sadly we only stayed there for an entire afternoon. By evening, we traveled further south to my cousin's house because my cousin promised we'd go on a date after my boards and there's this soup shop I wanted to visit because it has an amazing view
Yes, I've had too much traveling in just a few days. By evening of the same day, we were actually just trying to figure out the axie game more. Trying to look up card combos and whatnot.
The highlight of that Friday night though was when my review school sent as a chat regarding the board exam list of passers. I honestly didn't want to open it at first but after a while I went ahead and checked.
On the very last page of the list, there I found my name! I swear it took me at least 5 minutes before I could process it. When it finally sank in, I was basically scream6amd shaking my cousin who was just next to me. Then I told my family and my friends and I have never received so many messages in my life! I WAS A CHEMISTRY BOARD PASSER! I AM NOW OFFICIALLY A REGISTERED CHEMIST OF THE PHILIPPINES AND I NOW HAVE THE RIGHT TO OPERATE IN A LABORATORY
A year of waiting was worth it. We couldn't celebrate much though so once I was updated with the status of my batchmates who also took the boards, I went to sleep 😅😅😅
The next day though, my cousin and I went on our date still. We originally went to visit that soup place I call "pares with a view" because I really wanted good soup whenever I experience something good. Idk it's a weird craving with me. Sadly it was permanently closed so we just went to the mccafe which had an overlooking view of Taal lake.
So my whole Saturday was basically spent there and with my cousin's dog, sunny. Coffee and dog, what would be a better way to enjoy passing the board exam ;;w;;
And now it's Sunday and I made my way back to Manila because I still have some business to attend to tomorrow :") I also need to update a lot of my work related accounts because now, I can proudly put R.Ch right beside my name. Ahh yes, the Filipino pride of having a title right beside your name is really something else.
As for my story that I left hanging.... I should really update that. But this will be my update for the day. Sorry for this pretty long rambling but I'm just proud of finally getting my work title and I'm happy with how these past few days were despite how tiring it was
Being a chemist is not that easy. Always pacing up with lot of struggles. Btw Biochemistry and Chemistry alike a cousin, right?
