Babies are Gifts and NOT for Investments

Hey, Read.cash family! How's our day despite of successive heavy rainy days? Hoping all is well and good. Get inspired of God's goodness as the sun gives us hope and He allows us to experience His great Love by having good relationship within the family and to our community as well.

Many times we heard some news or even watched bad news about the missing people with regards to this online cockfighting. Some of them were found died and some are still missing. This is an alarming issue that needs to be resolved by the government. This kind of gambling should not be tolerated by the community. This should not hopefully be allowed anymore because many lives were affected. Many children were having miserable lives because of the negligence of irresponsible father's.

Last night, as I've watched a news on tv, I felt sad knowing a mother, yes a mother... sold her baby to someone because she needs money for her debt on online sabong or cockfighting. Oh my God! It was really heartbreaking news. What an irresponsible mother who made it for her daughter. I thought only men did that kind of vices.

Babies are Gifts from God and they were not born for investments. We are special creations of God. It is not a good reason and it will never be a valid reason why some parents did that because of being poor or being below the border line in terms of financial status. It's a big big No. They are also humans who will be get hurt if they knew their souls were sold to unuseful doings.

Children should be cared and loved. I remembered a story of a mother and a daughter in MMK or Maalaala Mo Kaya. It was all about how her daughter lived miserably for how many times she was abused and harassed by her uncle and her step father with the consent of her mother. Her mother allowed those things to happen for her daughter because she doesn't want to be abandoned by her partner. This is not what God's plan for a family.

Even in my place where I stayed when I was single, just one of my neighbors, one father aimed to have more children for the purpose of having them well-paid for their jobs or professions someday and later receive a portion of their salaries. He was thinking that having family is a form of business. But unfortunately, no one became professional not even one.

We can't also deny the fact that there were parents pushed their daughters to engage into pornography. They could get income out of it. Their daughters were exposed to the internet and having sex with the foreigners. They knew that this is an illegal but again because of poverty they were forced to do that. What an unethical wrongdoing of the parents! What would be the future of these young teenagers?

This kind of issue may be present also in our place. Bear in mind that God's plan for the family is not for business but it is for where His love be felt and shared.

Children are the fruits of God's love entrusted to parents. Thus, let's raise our children that they could feel that they are gifts in the family and not to invest them in a business.
