The time when the United States paid jizya to a Muslim state.
Turkish Admiral Captain Barbarossa and the oppression of history ...
For those of you who have seen Johnny Depp's Hollywood movie "Pirates of the Caribbean", this name and character will certainly not be new. In the film, this character is portrayed as a destructive, conspiratorial, opportunistic pirate with mysterious powers. But very few people know that Captain Barbarossa was not only a legendary character but also a high-ranking general of the Ottoman Empire's navy and the first largest navy, General Mujahid and Amir, his achievements are still reflected in the infidel media. ۔
The Ottoman Caliph Salim summoned Amir al-Bahr Baba Urooj from Albania and showed him the letters written by Muslims from the cramped and dark penitentiaries of various churches in Spain and assigned him the mission of rescuing these Muslims. The navies of many Christian states, including Italy and Portugal, obstructed the voyage from the shores of Turkey in the east of the Mediterranean to the shores of Andalusia in the west of the Mediterranean. Under the strategy, it was decided that Amir al-Bahr Baba, leading the navy, would take them to Spain, release the Muslims from these prisons there, and after the West, they would be expelled from there and taken to the Muslim state of Algeria in Africa. So that there is no chance of any kind of fighting on the return from the Christian navy and these Muslims can be brought back safely by land. For this purpose, Baba Urooj sent his brother Khairuddin Barbarossa to Algeria, where his mission was to defeat the pro-Christian Muslim rulers.
Baba Urooj had to change his strategy for various reasons and he reached his brother Khairuddin Barbarossa in Algeria where a Muslim ruler betrayed the city of Tulmasan and invited the crusaders to attack from behind. The Turkish and Algerian armies under the leadership of Baba Urooj preferred martyrdom instead of surrendering and thus Baba Urooj drank the cup of martyrdom in this place. For many days in the Christian celebration, Baba Arooj's head was carried in the streets of Andalusia and the voices of weddings kept coming from the churches in joy.
The command was then handed over to Khairuddin Barbarossa, who formed his own navy and defeated the Portuguese and Italian forces in the Mediterranean. Barbarossa was given this title by the Italian forces, which means red bearded. Then Barbarossa invaded Tunisia and Algeria and liberated these areas from Christian occupation. When news of Barbarossa's exploits reached Pope John Paul III at the Vatican, the pope ordered a joint naval force from all over Europe to defeat Barbarossa. Undoubtedly, it was the largest navy in human history up to that time, with 6,000 warships. In comparison, Barbarossa's fleet consisted of 1,200 ships. The two armies clashed at Parvezia on September 28, 1538, in which Barbarossa, showing great skill and courage, defeated an army five times larger than his own and drowned the Christian fleet. The situation was that the commander of the Christian navy Andrea Doria escaped on a small boat and saved his life. Barbarossa then launched a series of attacks on the coastal areas of Andalusia, rescuing 70,000 Muslim children, women and the elderly from church atrocities.
As a result of Barbarossa's conquests, the Mediterranean Sea, which was also the only trade route between East and West, remained under Muslim occupation for three hundred years. States such as Britain, France and the Netherlands paid taxes to the Ottoman Empire for their ships passing through here during this period. You may be surprised to know that the first US President George Washington paid a heavy price to the Muslims to persuade the Navy not to invade the United States. This agreement is the only agreement in American history spanning nearly two centuries that has been made in a language other than English. The agreement was also unique in that it required the US government to pay regular taxes to another state each year.
It is a pity that we hear the dhikr of many of our heroes from others and that dhikr also gives such a distorted face that we hate these names. When nations begin to hear their history from others, it is not surprising ...
