Holy is your marriage

Hi peep's happy Sunday since is first Sunday in the month of December I'm glad to be alive with my colleagues on this great platform that we witness this great day and pray that God will spare our lives to witness many more on earth.

Since is Sunday morning I decided to share with my fellow readcash what I learnt in church today and I believe it will be a great blessing to you all most especially my very good friend @Success1

In the beginning, God conceived of and established marriage as the union of a man and a woman to complete and complement each other. It is at once a union of heart, mind, soul and body the greatest and most intimate human relationship possible. " And the lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him .... And the rib, which the lord Godhad taken from man. And made he a woman, and brought her unto the man, And Adam said, this is now born of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave into his wife; and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed"( Genesis 2:18-25)

Marriage therefore is a spiritual, emotional, social,mental as well as a physical union. Along with the legal honour conferred upon it, no marriage worth the name can be lacking in any one of the components.

Viewed from whatever angle, marriage is the most beautiful earthly gift given by God to man, on the spiritual plane, marriage is two destinies flowing together as one; " And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened lot, saying Arise, TAKE THY WIFE, and thy two daughters, which are here; less thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, THE MAN LAID HOLD UPON HIS HAND, AND UPON THE HAND OF HIS WIFE, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the lord being merciful unto him and they brought him forth, and set him without both city"

On the emotional level, it is two hearts beating together as one " but he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.... But she that is married careth for the things of the world how she may please her husband"

On the social plain, it is two lives lived together as one. And the lord God said it is not good that the man, should be alone I will make him a help meet for him"

And on the Physical plane it is two bodies joined together as one " for the cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife and they too shall be one flesh. In no other human relationship are all these possible or even practicable.

Marriage then is shared life, shared love, share joy, shared responsibility and shared destiny. It is the union in which the lives of a man and a woman become intricately woven together in a complex but constantly changing and inseparable formation. Now companions, friends, lovers as well as partners in procreation, man and wife justly find marriage to be their merry age!
