Bangabandhu satellite -1

Bangabandhu satellite -1 is a space satellite owened and controlled by Bangladesh. With the launching this satellite on 11May 2018, and achieved an unprecedented glory. It has been names after the founder of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu sheikh mujibur Rahman.

Bangabandhu satellite -1 is the first space satellite in the history of Bangladesh. It was launched from the launch complex 39A of the kedney space center situated in Florida, USA. After reaching the targeted haghit ,the stage -1 of the rocket was set free. Then the engine of the stage -2 started working.

The stage I returned to the drone ship floating on the Atlantic Ocean. After its being released from the rocket, then satellite started being controlled. The Gazipur Ground received it's initial signal after 1hour and 10minutes of its lunching. Then on 21 May 2018,the satellite reached its own position. Scientists made its "In orbit Test".Then it came into the complete control of Gazipur satellite center. The total expenditure of the lunching was 2765 crore taka.And construction cost was about 1951 crore and 75 lake taka.

The satellite has been designed and monitored by the Thales Alenia space of France. This satellite will provide the nation with numerous technological facilities. Bangladesh will no longer have to depend on others countries for telecommunication.Bangladesh will receive 40 types of service from it. The will include DTH (Direct To Home) service, radio broadcast, satellite telecast, internet facilities, telemedicine, e-learning ,e-recharge, video conference, emergency communication, national security services, underground or underwater recharge, space exploration, taking photographs, detection if Gama ray, nuclear explosion, intelligent benefits, detecting mines ,preparing digital maps, etc. So, it will give us a huge number of benefits.

Thus, the Bangabandhu satellite is a grand achievement of Bangladesh in respect of both honour and utilites ,It will be called a landmark in the history of Bangladesh and it's science and technology.
