Being Yourself

When you live another person's life, you have succeeded in destroying your self confidence, personality, dignity, value, integrity and originality.

Why people can't do better than those they compare themselves with; those they envy or copy, is because those they copy live their original life styles while they on their part look at those people before they choose what they do. Therefore, what they embrace as new and fashionable is what those other people have used and left behind; they pick the other people's leftovers or wastes. The original people come from within while the copiers gather the fall-outs and put them on.

It's also out of envy and hate that people live life styles that are reactionary and corrosive on others. It is because the former don't live a purpose-driven life; it is because they don't define their lives according to the goals they are supposed to achieve or the problems they are supposed to solve, that they allow their life patterns to be dictated by other people's actions.

According to Martin Luther King Jr, "any man who has not discovered what he will die for is not mature enough to live." Let's, therefore, try as much as possible to be original; let's be ourselves. It pays!
