On this week challenge we have something big. ''Sand worm approaching'' sound the warning on my Harvester. Oh, wrong game. ''For the Horde!'' is shouting my Troll packing up the tools and running back to his Dragon. So, Sandworm. Common neutral monster, received as Reward card, with 7 Melee Attack, 4 Speed and 7 Health, for a painful 9 Mana cost. Abilities at max level are Sneak (Hit the last monster in the opponent team), Snare ( Removes Flying ability and chance to miss) and finally Pierce (Destroying armor and health in the same hit). A max level 10 is now around $70, but as a Neutral monster you can use it with any splinter. Rulesets like Equilizer works wonder for it, if you have some tanks with a lot of health.

So, for the challenge, this were the starting conditions:

Mana Limit: 38 (Ideal to use cards like Sand Worm due to high mana cost - 9 Mana)

Rulesets: Holy protection (All monsters have Divine Shield) & Up, close and personal (Only melee attack available)

Teams:

Mine - Summoner: Tyrus Paladium (+1 Armor), Shieldbearer as main tank, due to his , backed up by Luminous Eagle with Reach ability, then Sand Worm, cosy in the middle, to protect him from being nuked too early, then SilverShield Assassin, to kill the ones in the back, Armorsmith, Repair to protect the main tank during the fight, and Feral Spirit for a bit of extra kick.

Opponent - Summoner: Tyrus Paladium (+1 Armor), Crystal Jaguar with thorns, not bad, but not enough health for a 38 Mana figth, then a whole Silvershield Army (Warrior with Reach to atack from second position, Paladin as extra tank? with Shield and Magic Reflect, Knight with Piercing and Inspire to give extra +1 Atack Melee), one Cave Slug with opportunity and Scavenger, and lastly, the Armorsmith. Badly positioned, if you ask me.

Round 1: His Armorsmith is our, leaving the tank is a weak position.

Round 2: His Cave slug is out, very hard to kill them with divine Shield and extra Armor.

Round 3: Finally his tank dies, and his Knight follows, so no more extra Attack.

Round 4: Not much happened.

Round 5: His last 2 monsters are dead. This was not a fight, was a massacre.

Star of the game?

Sand Worm super star!

On the side note, my continuous support for Splintertalk.io is going well, with my SPT tokens number raising at almost a million. 958K of my target of 1000K reached and hopefully the 1 million will be done in one or two months. A bit difficult now as the price went up a lot. All of it is delegated to @monster-curator, as this account is doing a great work curating the best posts on the forum.

All the best,

George

Thanks for the details about the game. Rarely can you find an article that goes over specific in-game mechanics like the +1 Armor, +1 Attack or what got played on each turn.

Just discovered that my sponsorship for you doesn't appear. Everything seems to be okay.
