Today we have a very often unused card, at least in my circle of friends, the Stonesplitter Orc.
This is an Alpha or Beta Rare card, and this could be the reason why the newest players tend to not have it. This Earth splinter orc is not weak, as it has Retaliation at level 1 and Enrage at level 5, so this is one of those times where your Chicken can change the fate of the battle, if you put it in front of the Tank. I did not use it like this as my orc is not level 5. So, what about damage and health, let's see how one looks!
Just look at this 4 Attack at level 3, quite impressive. I may start to level this one up to 5 and start to use it on certain rulesets. So, i tried on this match posted on the next video. I have used one of my favourites, the underappreciated summoner known as Mylor Crowling, for his Thorn ability (return damage on melee attacks). The rulesets were Heavy hitters (all have KnockOut) and Equalizer, where the highest life is shared to all cards. Failed summoner was first, to get some of the incoming damage and clear a bit of the tank life using thorns, for 2 Mana is a logical choice. Second was the star of the game, the Stonesplitter Orc, as main tank, followed by the Chicken, as an extra layer of protection in case of Sneak or Snipe, and for the remaining 2 mana i chose the Khmer Princess, to add some magic damage.
How did this worked? Like a wonder. Same Earth splinter for the opponent: Chicken, Unicorn Mustang, Khmer Princess. The Failed Summoner damaged and killed his Chicken, and took of some health of the Princess using his magic reflect. Then was destroyed by the Unicorn, who in turn lost to my Stonesplitter orc. His last card, with 1 magic damage, did not last long. Easy win, thanks to the thorn ability.
For the second part of this post, we have some added info, a well deserved shoutout and a referral link, in case you like the game (feel free to contact me for any questions you have, i may even throw some cards into the mix for you to help you start).
First, the most important news of the day, in my opinion, is that Splinterlands joined the WAX NFT blockchain, this being a place full of developers and NFT creators, where the game will finally get the well deserved exposure. Great move Splinterlands team.
Second, i want to congratulate my little brother @PVMihalache for his amazing effort, even if he is a complete noob. Joking, but he is! He is also very close to reach Silver league rank, being less than 1000 power away. Keep going strong, bro!
Talking about the splintertalk.io forum and the Splinterlands ecosystem, I decided to get some SPT tokens and to delegate @monster-curator with it, as he is doing a decent work on the platform.
If you want to try this game, you can use my referral: https://splinterlands.com?ref=mightyrocklee and give me a shout to lend you some good cards to help you to a good start.
Yours truly
