Something that I find quite interesting, and I aim to learn more about - POAPs. What is a POAP? Translated from the name itself, it means Proof of Attendance Protocol, and it is like a digital badge given to some people attending crypto-related events, real or virtual. Each POAP is unique, and the only way to get it is if you attended the before mentioned gatherings. Right now there are 32772 POAPs given to 19862 holders.
As you may guessed, POAPathon is a made up word, by joining POAP and Hackaton. Again, if you did not hear about it, a hackaton (or a codefest, as it used to be called) is an event where programmers and other clever people join together to test, improve or even build a new program/app. So, pushing boundaries, out POAPathon will put the cool on the map, introducind people into this fantastic world of POAPs.
As per their website:
''A POAPathon is a POAP design competition that rewards designers that create the best POAP designs. We see this as an opportunity to bring visibility to many DAOs and DeFi projects while engaging a broader creative design community.'' Artists can submit their POAPs related to the projects sponsoring the event, and get voted, with winner being rewarded at the end of the competition. On 2021 we have some solid projects stepping up: Volatility, Balancer DAO, Sushi, Harvest, UMA, Qi DAO, Mythereum, Eco, Carbon Utility Token, Beefy, Moonpot, Spaced Ventures and Gridplus. Each on their own having a word to say into the crypto-space, covering few blockchains and being as diverse as they can be (AMM, blockchain games, yield optimizers, DEX and so on).

So, are you ready to join the next wave in crypto? At the moment, as quadratic voting has some limitations, there are projects working on POAP related voting, even governance for the next generation DAOs. Definitely a subject worth learning about it a bit more.
That being said, today I tried to make my first POAP, entering to POAPathon. Harvest Finance was one of the obvious choices.
And of course, the second, as I just realised the requirements (500 pcx, round shape). As I am aiming to become a SuperUMAn (more about this initiative on UMA discord channel) I was doing something related to the iconic UMA chicken and my feelings towards the UMA community.
