The world around us is full of surprises and secrets and it is impossible not to be curious. So here I am to share a series of some fun facts.
I started with the animal kingdom. As we all know, this kingdom is undeniably a diverse place. Though we know many things about them, there are still some things that some of us may not know. Here is the first part of this animal facts.
Giraffe
A giraffe's tongue is around 18 to 20 inches long and deep purple in color. Scientists believe that the dark color is to protect them from getting sunburn.
Bumblebee
Bumblebees can fly higher than Mount Everest. According to National Geographic, research has found that bees could fly at air pressure equivalent to 29,525 feet above sea level โ higher than Mt. Everest (29,029').
Polar Bears
According to Polar Bears International, polar bears touch noses with one another when they greet and request to share foods. Polar bears are also considered as marine animals. It is the only species of bear that depends on the ocean to survive.
Sheep
According to modernfarmer.com, sheep have rectangular pupils, which give them an estimated field of vision between 270 and 320 degrees. Humans' average is about 155 degrees.
Flamingo
Flamingos don't bend their legs on the knee, but at the ankle. They actually stand on their tip-toes. Their knees are located close to the body and hidden by feathers.
