Hi,

I want to say thank you for the love and comments shown to my last posts. I got comments from people asking questions and this warmed my heart a lot. Today I decided to write about something I learned a while back on how to look classy, expensive on a budget or how you can look expensive on anything you wear.

Let’s go.

A little story here, I am a student so I do not have the luxury to spend so much on clothes, jewelry, shoes, makeup, bags, all the accessories a lady will need but I still want to look expensive, smell nice, feel good, get compliments all without breaking the bank and not doing pass myself. I had to look for different means to get the exact results I wanted within my budget.

One of the few things I did while researching was look at people who we have the same style but on a more elevated level, what they combine to look classy and beautiful on anything and I was able to find my style and I hope you can also.

Here are a few ways that you can look expensive on a budget and without breaking the bank.

1. Less is more.

We have all heard this quote more times than we can count and yes, it’s coming up again. Wearing less accessories or doing things in not in an overly exaggerated manner makes every effort come out as the most. You do not have to overly accessorize or wear so much for you to look sweet, classy and expensive. You can be all these wearing a clean white shirt, a jean, a cute handbag, a nice dainty and classy jewelry, wear a good perfume on and you are good to go.

P.S I am a minimalist but this can definitely apply to a maximalist.

 2. Avoid showing too much skin.

This might not apply to everyone but personally I have found out that showing less skin makes me look classy. I do show a bit of skin now and then but not to the extent people don’t even know what to look at on your body, c’mon sis. Showing off too much skin does not give off a classy look.

3. Invest in basic colors.

Basic colors like black, white, nude, brown are definitely the best investment you can make in your wardrobe collection. These basic colors go on anything you will want to pair them with, either it is a jean, a skirt, a palazzo, over a blazer or a jacket. Basic colors are a game changer in your wardrobe and you cannot get enough of them.

4. Work on your posture.

This is one very important things I earnt a long time ago. Your standing posture helps with the way people see you, how you walk, how you carry yourself, how you sit, stand etc. Having the right posture helps in self-representation and gives you poise, the better benefit, you look classy.

5. Wear Perfume.

Wearing a nice scented perfume makes a whole difference to this game, you smell nice and people get to compliment you, that alone gives a warm smile plastered on your face. This might be a bit conflicting as certain perfumes are quite expensive but there are inexpensive scents that smell heavenly, so you do not have to break the bank to smell nice. Another thing about perfume is do not wear perfume that are too strong as there are people who tend to get itchy nose and in all honesty, does not give a classy look.

6. Stick to soft makeup looks.

This goes to the ladies, keep your makeup look very soft and subtle as per the occasion. I do not think there is any event that will require you wearing heavy makeup except Halloween. Wearing soft makeup makes you look presentable, sweet, classy, gives you a neat look, a classy look and help with your confidence.

Personally, I found all these helpful and in the long term helped boost my confidence level and self-esteem and I hope they also do the same to you.

Here a bit more tip that everyone can use for your everyday looks.

1. Try not to look ashy, this is the 21st century, we now have lotion. What would Jesus say/

2. Carry a chapstick around. Lips go dry bro.

3. Clean clothes are game changer first.

4. Smell nice.

I hope all these help you and I hear your thoughts in the comment section.

Great tips, except I hate the perfume idea - to me it's cheap trickery! But that's just personal.I prefer natural smells and perfume always smells alcoholic to me and irritates my nose!

That's another way to look at it. Some people are offended at the smell of perfumes and it is ok.

Thanks for the comment.

This isn't funny at all, it is simply how to look classy. Every strategy employed here is truly worth trying out. I love to look classy and attractive but my fear is not to cause the downfall of my onlookers.
