How to lighten your underarms.

Hi,

Today I will be talking about something I know we all face or lets say women of dark color tend to have and if you live in a humid country like Nigeria, having dark underarms is something that will happen. Today I will be sharing a few tips on how to lighten your underarms, tips that I have researched, seen others use it, tried it personally and is seeing significant results. 

I know that we must have seen lots of ads or videos on tiktok or youtube about getting your underarms lightened under 3 days using some mixture, wel, they might work, maybe not under 3 days but some of the ingredients used are actually ingredients used to lighten up surfaces and are bodily friendly, but maybe not exactly seeing results under 3 days, if you tried longer, you should see changes.

I will be giving you 3 simple tips on how to lighten your underarms. Lets go.

1. Stop using deodorants.

     This might bring questions to your mind because we are in a humid country, everywhere is hot and do I expect you to smell or when you sweat under the sun, there is bound to be sweat smell and all. Deodorants in their production contain certain ingredients that tends to darken  that area faster than often and this does not mean do not use deodorants, just use it less often than norms. 

   What then should you use?

I recommend using either antiperspirant (in the block form) or sprays or body mist. These have worked well to lighten my underarms, keep the body sweats smell in and also keep me all through the day. 

 P.S If you are going to have a long day running around, you can just add a bit of deodorant as this helps against profusely sweating.

 2. Wax, do not shave.

      ​ There are hundred reasons to choose waxing over shaving but I will give you a few and we must have come across so all these and more. Shaving breeds ingrown and dealing with ingrown hairs are some tedious tasks to do. It causes stubbles or bumpy feels around that part and sometimes you cut yourself while shaving. Asides from the pain that will come from waxing, which you will get used to, there are a lot of benefits  that you will get from waxing, your hair grows less, no ingrown hairs, the color of your underarms lighten to a better shade. 

Waxing does have a lot of benefits and helps with lightening up your underarms. I said what I said.

 3. Exfoliate.

​​We tend to exfoliate every other parts of our body but not the underarm, ahh, why? Our underarms also accumulate body dirts, we close it all day so there is definitely things that are ep tuner there that we don’t really wash up when in the bathroom. You can use an exfoliating sponge with some sugar scrub once a week or once in 2 weeks if it is too much struggle to remember, but it does help and you will see significant difference in your underarms.

Do all these things for a period of time and you’ll definitely see results in the complexion of your underarms. Lets do a recap of all I said, 

- Use deodorants less and try sprays, body mist or antiperspirants.

- Opt for waxing and not  shaving.

- Exfoliate.

- And try to wear less tight clothes so that area can breathe a little more.

If you tried any of these methods and they do not work, sometimes they are medically inclined, so you can see a doctor about that, you good sis. 

Here are my steps that I have taken to get my underarm lighten or things that I started doing and I saw results, so let me know if you have any means that you have tried and worked for you or you tried any of these and see if they will work for you.

Nice concepts in the post. Our underarm is much a place to care for to avoid some sort of discomforting odour.
