Like hungry children anticipating their evening meal
The light in the eyes have gone dim from insomnia
Sleeplessness from struggling
To rebuild altars
Bare altars, stare with glaring eyes
We returned the stare, dismay written all over our faces
In bold letters
The letters that killed the fire
In our spirits
The protective hedge has been abandoned
The shielding refuge lay waste
From broken hedges to souls
The serpents trail is visible
The scars from the bite
That turned our gaze to the Holy tree
Windows of souls opened up
As lips hummed "make room"
Salvation's light
Illuminated the heart's eye
Eyes that were once flooded
With tears that couldn't cleanse
The filthy faded floors of the mind
Bold letters of dismay now erased
By the blood ransom
Freeing souls from filthiness and fading glory
Restoring strength to build the broken altars
What is it the ears hear
Galloping from afar with the wind
Sound of abundance of rain
Touching the earth as chariots of fire
Feeble hands stretched forth
To drink of the waters
That which is weak is being strengthened
Heated up to exercise authority
An army indestructible
Marching into the nations of the earth
Bearing the name of Jesus on our flags
Our tongues spit fire
Truths that'll burn down bridges connecting men to the systems of Babylon
The soles of our feet burns with the gospel of peace
Blazing faith consuming the fiery darts
Of the princes of darkness
The red-hot sword we wield
Piercing through the hearts of men
Cutting down vain thought patterns and controversies
We carry the burning helmet of salvation
Offering it to every mortal we see
We bring it to you, yes! you
Take it! Put it on!
Catch the fire!
The rain of fire touching the earth
