Immediately you read this second law, I am sure the thought of "giving to the poor" would come to your mind. Correct, but far from that!
The Law
LOVE Your NEIGHBOR( FARER THAN FAMILY) as YOURSELF.
A genuine concern, is what I'll like to emphasize.
Concern for family, concern for fellow Christians, concern for the poor, concern for humanity, concern for lost souls!
Yes concern! That although you may not have the capacity to relief them of their distress, they are sure that you're mindful about them!
This concern should drive you to bear their burden as though the burdens were yours!
If you can't deliver or relief them, you can at least pray for them daily!
Some of us Christians, we are not concern about lost souls, all we know is that "we are save!" WE MOVE!
The persecution in the north; the news of brethren that are killed daily, doesn't breed a powerful burden in our heart. Since our relatives are save "WE MOVE!"
I know you will ask " what can I do?" Dear let me respond to you " YOU CAN PRAY".
Genuine concern is what we are lacking, if doesn't directly concern us, " WE MOVE!"
BEAR YE ONE ANOTHER'S BURDEN....OH Yes!
Unity of the body is not fostered because of this!
We allow geographical location, tribal differences, personality, relationship and lot more become the wall that separate us!
Meanwhile we are one body, linked by the blood of Jesus!
My plead is, "let's emphasize with Jesus!"
The things we neglect, are very important before the eyes of our Lord!
Let's not lose the emphasis
1)Love the lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind.
2)Love your neighbor as yourself.
