What/who is your reference? i.e. if you even have one.
In the pursuit of any goal, one need to have a reference; a standard, an example or a glimpse of what you're looking for.
It is on this note that you can access your efforts: are you conforming to your reference or are you nothing compared to your dreams.
It is not a cliche to say that the path you take, determines the result you get.
"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ..." 2Corith 5:20
If therefore we are ambassadors(originally not from here) then, we have a perfect reference "HEAVEN(our origin)
Your dealings, goals, dreams pursuit, desire should look like the heaven reference.
What ever is not permitted in heaven should not permitted in your life.
Heaven should indeed be your model! Oh yes!
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Tim 3:16-17
Unto All good works!
Christian, enough of allowing the world, define for you. The world is not your reference, Christ is!
The Scriptures are written for doctrine, reproof, correction and instructions.
This is enough for you! Remember that we are ambassadors, God's own representative!
In following the world's path, you can only become, the world. And there's nothing good about this world!
All that's in the world is the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and the pride of life.
When social media handles have become counseling grounds for many Christian. Where are we heading!
When worldly celebrities have become our models on dressing! Where are we heading!
When gospel music artist composes their piece from the secular songs! Where are we heading!
You desire your spouse to be spirit filled with a touch of cardi b or Burna boy spec ( you're already lost)
You're getting married, you have your model of marriage and have many read books etc. Yet, you do not know what God says about marriage? Why won't your home stagger!
We follow trends, like our being depends on it, but when last did we spend time with God.
We are becoming nothing close to our reference (Heaven/Christ).
Lets arise! Discipline ourselves and say No!
Let the world no more define for us! For Gods word is able to thoroughly finish us unto all good works.
