A Remnant

"The earth is bare" we seldom think,

"Why lord" we are bitter and gall.

Arms weakens, strength seems to blink,

And we can never know, the cost of our fall.

Let it be known, that in being weary and indignant,

You reduce a Remnant!

So you trade your faith for luxury,

A cup of ice cream, a meal for the stomach,

You choose transient over glory,

Not knowing that you're trading your rank in the army.

Although we are but on earth tenants,

You're playing with a Remnant!

You live careless; sleeping and snoring,

Evil appearance and bad company,

Whilst on your post, no one is watching,

Causing the army lot of injury.

I hope you know, your bishopric another can take,

As you sleep on, unconcern about the Remnant!

It's foolish not to know the times,

And woeful to be at ease,

Daily more soul are beguiled with lies,

This gospel you must release.

If you do not preach, it's treacherous,

For we protect a Remnant!

Some are considered persons,

We are nations and guardians,

Protecting the father's plan as sons,

And faithful custodians.

I know our dealings are indeed strange,

But it validate that we're part of that Remnant!

Revival will come when we become stewards,

Faithful, watching at our post,

Whilst we match only onward,

Searching for the lost.

We own such regnant,

For we are that Remnant!
