Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD: The Word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him. And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. 1 Samuel 3:7-8
We as Believers, desire things sometimes, because of the possibility of such things. One of such desire, is a desire to hear from God
The Holy Spirit is admonishing us today, stating that our desire is good and pure. Though, there is a process or principle we have to follow to get there.
Truth is, in Christianity, we walk by principles and God's mercy. But, most times principle
As we desire to hear from God concerning matters, the principle we should follow is this, make God's Word our daily bread and pray, yes, because, the voice that interprets God's Word while you're reading It, and the one that speaks to you is one and the same. The voice that speaks to you when you pray and the one that witnesses to your inner man is the same.
Samuel was similarly in the same point, that some of us are now. He had not yet known the Lord when the Lord called him, the more reason he could not dictate It to be God's Voice. By knowing God, you'll get familiar with His Voice. And one of the most accurate and precise way of knowing God is by His Word _ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
So, what we have to do now, is to get familiar with that Voice that interprets God's Word, and the One that Speaks to us in the place of prayer. For these to be established, we have to study and pray . No shortcuts, to avoid, confusion.
I love you
God loves you dearly
Let Us Pray:
Father we thank You for Your Word. We receive Your grace to be the doer of Your Word too, in Jesus Christ mighty name, Amen.
