Could you just imagine, how the Pandemic brought by Covid-19 changed every aspects of our life forever? The last time I remember, I was just preparing my General Ledger, Journal Entry and the T Account of the Business transaction of my client to be submitted on March 30, 2020 as our Final project for Accounting 1. Studying for the incoming final exams. Excited for the incoming summer break.
But I never imagine that I can escape all school related pressure because of what happened and somehow I'm thankful for that but in the bigger picture or general situation it is not helpful at all. Maybe some will think what happened is a blessing in disguise and some will think this is a cursed given to humanity, but those will still affects us.
Before, I can see all the emotions and feelings reflected by a man's eyes, smiles and even action. But what I missed the most is seeing the beautiful smiles of the different people and everyone s smiles everytime I go out in school. I never imagine, I mean We never imagine this sudden out turns will happen, changing almost everything how we live our life. It is now uncertain if we could experience again to enjoy life as before. If you could still exercise the freedom that we have before.
No wonder, many are now depress, many experiences anxiety because of the uncertainty of how their life will be. Looking backward, we can visit any place we want to visit without worrying about travel pass, Quarantine pass, facemask and face shield or worse worrying being infected with the deadly virus. Now, you can't visit the place if you want to.
Minimum Health protocols are implemented but we are trying to defy the orders because in the first place we are not familiar and we never experienced it before. For the past three months many are struggling to survive. Many are depending on the food given by the government because almost 70% lost their job for the last 3 months.
Medical expert said we should not compromised the health and life of everyone by opening the economy, in contrary business sectors and ordinary people urging the government to relax and cool down the protocols to open the economy. It is burden to the Government how to balance the two important aspects of our lives the: Health and Economy.
It Keep Us Safe, It Also Hide Our Smiles
Wearing facemask and Face shield may be here for a while. Can we adapt in a world where we cannot see facial expressions?
We can survive for sure but it will be difficult. We are used to see smiles everywhere before. Somehow seeing smiles can brighten your gloomy day. Always believe that we can do this and go through this pandemic. Smil and facial expressions are very important in communications. So wearing facemask can affect how we communicate effectively.
But we must always remember masks are essential for slowing the spread of Covid-19, especially indoors or in a large group, experts say. So while some might struggle with this new glitch in communication, it’s worth getting creative about signifying warmth.
Situation going back to Normal?
I don't know. The Government said, the deadly virus will still be in the environment and the threat will always be there unless effective vaccines will be available. But I don't believe that the vaccines will be available this year. That means we will possibly experience community quarantine for the next 2 years or more.

This essay is written by Jeremiah, who is a Boys & Girls Clubs member at the Dick and Sandy Dauch Club.
I am a member of a youth fraternity and a Boys & Girls Club member. Right now, in the world we are in a fight of our lives against the coronavirus. It has affected many people including myself. I'm now at home every day and it really is affecting me socially. Not being able to speak to friends and see people I see on a regular basis is hard for me. Also, now that school is closed for the rest of the year it has really had an effect on my school life. I am not used to being at home all the time and working on the computer. I'm usually in a classroom surrounded by my peers. However, I am human so I will learn to adapt, but for now it is hard.
It has affected me personally in the social and educational aspect, but I know around the city of Detroit it's affecting others as well. In Detroit, which is one of the cities around the country hit hard by the virus, the pandemic has also affected the youth. Youth are now forced to stay home instead of going to school and spending time with friends. Most kids need to be outside and with people to release their energy and socialize. Now this cannot happen, because the virus has affected us so much. One thing we also see happening is food insecurities and social distancing. Due to what is happening in the world, people are very much afraid and cautious about food supply and interactions with people. People are afraid and are told to stay inside, so we stock up supplies that will last them about a month. Usually people get stuff that we will last them about two weeks, but now we need to stay home as much as we can.
With social distancing, we now separate ourselves from other parts of society. This has made me feel very much disconnected from my friends. Humans are made to be out and about and socialize with beings on Earth. These unfortunate events have led many people to be disconnected from society. This has allowed my mind to go to the dark side, where my fears come out. My main fear is “How long will my life be on pause?” I’m afraid of how long I will be stuck in the house and can’t see my friends. Will it be a couple more weeks or will it be a couple months?[Source Credit: modelmedia.com]

But one thing for sure, the way we live our life before will neved be the same even this pandemic or health crisis will be over. Either it is for good for everyone or only for the interest of some.
Given these considerations, it’s important to take precautions, including washing your hands and practicing social distancing. That helps to slow down the rate that the virus spreads, which can help to reduce the overcrowding of hospitals, an ongoing concern.[huntingondiseasenews.com]
The Government is trying their best to contain the virus and we must help them by following the minimum health protocols implemented by the Department of Health. By staying in our home is already a big contribution in combating against this deadly virus. Let's help and fight this battle together and I'm sure in the end we can win this battle as ONE.
It maybe not comfortable but we always remember that wearing facemask is good for the containment of the virus.
