We live in a generation today where suicide is becoming a norm! There is a high rate for people who are committing suicide everyday. We have heard a news that a teen committed suicide because of failure in school, a teacher who ends her life because of so much pressure in her job, a pastor who committed suicide because of depression, a father who given up his life because of his problem in providing for his family, and many more stories.. Knowing this, we should be alarmed and take a move to encourage everyone, especially our love ones, not to allow this problems and depression to overcome us.

1. FOOD IS LIFE

   It may sound shallow but it's a fact that when we leave this world, we will also leave all the pleasure in this world including all the best food you want to taste.

2. FEELINGS ARE FLEETING

   Feelings are temporary. What you feel today will not last forever. There is always hope, you can be sad but that is just for a moment. Feelings come and go, so never let your feeling dictate your action, because most of the time you will regret your decision that is based on feelings.

3. BEAUTY OF NATURE

   Maybe, you just need a break, rest - go to a place where you can relax and breath fresh air while looking at God's wonderful creation. The beauty of nature declares God's glory, and you will surely realize how small your problems are in the grand scheme of things.

4. BEING ALIVE IS A GIFT

   Think about the seriously ill people. They struggle everyday fighting for there life. They will do everything just to be healed and to prolong their life here on earth. They long for more time to live and enjoy life. Being alive and healthy is a gift. Don't waste your life, that is precious.

5. FRIENDS

   Your friends will feel lonely when you're gone. The pain of losing a friend is not ordinary, they will also suffer of losing you. So, think of them before thinking to take your own life.

6. FAMILY

   There is only one you in your family. No one can ever replace your position. You will leave a big hole in there life that no one can satisfy. Losing a family member is painful, but the pain of losing a member because of suicide is more painful.

7. FUTURE FAMILY (for teens)

   Speaking of family, are you dreaming and hoping to have your own family someday? Then, when you commit suicide, your future spouse and children will be missing you out on having you if you decide to check out of this world too soon.

8. SUPPORT SYSTEM

   Thoughts of suicide might be caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Medical professionals can help you. Turn to your family and friends for support. Never be ashamed or feel guilty when you need medical treatment.

9. LIFE CAN GET BETTER

   Life can get better. Your story is still being written. Give it a time and before you know it, you can overcome every problem, you can stand again.

10. THE WORLD IS BETTER WITH YOU IN IT

    The world is better with you in it, you are special. The world become beautiful and meaningful when an amazing person like you is living in it.

11. YOUR PURPOSE

    You have a purpose and you need time to discover what it is. And if you give up now, how will you know what your purpose is?

12. JESUS SAVES

    Will suicide will really solve your problems? The rest you are looking for, will become an unending torment. Hell is a real place, and without Jesus in your life, you will end up there. The Lord gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for your sins so you can spend eternity with Him. Need proof?

1. GOD LOVES YOU

   Say this to yourself with conviction: "God loves me."

   Everyone in this world may leave you, your family, your friends and love ones will eventually leave you, may it incidentally or not, but God will always and still be there for you. He promised not to leave us nor forsake us, and we can always depend on His Word and promises! You can always count on HIM in your brightest days and darkest nights. His love can reach you wherever you are. The apostle Paul declared in Roman 8:38 : "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love."

There are many good reasons to stay alive. Don't let a few bad days steal your entire future. Only God knows how longs our life will be here on earth. Job 14:5 says, "You (God) have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer."

Starting today, why don't you trust God in all your tomorrows?
