Basic Attention Token has been around for quite a while and after the release of Brave Browser, it is being talked even more. When people brag about Brave most of them just talk about the revenue-generating browser giving people the power to get BAT. However, very few people realize the power that lies beyond the realm of crypto space.
TOR - Power of Anonymity
Brave has deep integration of TOR into its private mode. And honestly, after using it, I don't even feel like I am using layers of VPN to maintain my anonymity. The experience is pretty smooth. Note a generic user does not think about all these technicalities but a normal brain works in collaboration with few buzz words with ease of use and that is where Brave shines the most. I have seen several flavors of chromium in the past but Brave beats them all in terms of user experience.
Google Chrome - Chromium Features
Brave is based upon Chromium, and we all know Google Chrome is the world's most used web browser and yes the brand google plays a huge part in it that is for sure. But the interface itself is very powerful this also enables users like me who also program to main this as their daily driver and access the power of Chrome developer tools. And any programmer if reading this can understand what I am pointing at. Yes, we developers resist moving to any new browser which lacks tools for development especially when we are working around with frontend frameworks like React or Vue.JS and that is one of the major reasons why Mozilla and chrome are mainstream. I have barely seen any developer using something else and hey no hate if you are one of the devs who are using something like safari and developing UI (I am laughing at you secretly). Also, not to mention the chrome extensions can all be integrated with the browser so the whole Chrome web store is at your disposal.
Also, One of the Best Adblocker features is integrated with Brave which is merged with DuckDuckGo kind of utility. What I mean by this is that Brave not only blocks ads but also scripts and cookies which are present in several websites and especially in sites like Google and Facebook who are constantly stealing your data without your direct agreement. And note data is monetary fund just like crypto you own the data and you have every right to sell it and not gift it for free.
Aesthetics
Well, this is my own personal preference, but I think there are many like me who love vanilla looking software that pleases their eyes. Companies are not foolish to pay millions of dollars to improve their UI. One of the major reasons for this is to attract those people who have an eye for design. I remember the days when people used to install safari on their desktop for the only reason that the browser by apple at such an aesthetic appeal. Personally I feel brave is really amazing in terms of its user interface.
Conclusion
Personally, I feel apart from the unique crypto integration Brave and the BAT team has all the components to succeed. And this is just one aspect of BAT, Recently they have had huge partnerships and are collaborating with more and more people. All I see is the ecosystem of BAT turning into something massive. And keep a note of it we still have a limited supply of those BAT coins eventually they will be scarce and when that happens the price will shoot. Some people have faced issues verifying with Uphold which is essential if you want to get paid for the ads you watch on Brave. But, Personally, I did not find any issue with it and my experience was really smooth also uphold provides a pretty decent actually cheaper price on the currencies as compared to Binance. If you are just in spot trading and want to just hold coins uphold is pretty cheap however you are not really limited to uphold and you can eventually transfer your funds to some other wallet or exchanges.
