Information appeared on social networks that the former Minister of Economy of Abkhazia Adgur Ardzinba was involved in illegal mining. The ex-official denies these reports.
Anonymous social media users have spread information that Adgur Ardzimba owns one of the most powerful mining farms in the country. It is reported that the equipment is located in the frontier Gal district.
The former Minister of Economy and Deputy Prime Minister Ardzimba, who had also run for president earlier, said that this was not true. In an appeal to the Prosecutor General Adgur Agrba and the Acting Chairman of the State Security Service of Abkhazia, Robert Kiut, Ardzimba asked to check the data and bring the disseminators of this information to justice.
“Due to the fact that social networks are actively spreading information that I am the owner or have a direct or indirect relationship to the cryptocurrency mining business, I ask you to openly check this information and inform the general public about its results. At the same time, I ask you to bring to justice those who are directly or indirectly related to the dissemination of deliberately false information against me, ”said the ex-Minister of Economy of Abkhazia.
Earlier it was reported that 65 mining farms were officially registered in Abkhazia. At the same time, the unrecognized republic continues to strengthen the regulation of the industry.
