A day in my life.

I wake up at 5 in morning and after getting fresh and watering myself goes for running, following some streching as well. I then make breakfast for myself and switch to newspaper to read about the world and current economic scenarios of the different parts of the world. By 7 AM i am ready to get to my desk for office login.

As i am the SAP Basis consultant and joined TCS an year ago. The very first thing i do is check my mails and get to know, is there something from the night shift to take care, any open incident or queries of the client and any ongoing issues. After checking such task with my colleage whosoever was in night shift took over the shift and prepare List of tasks for the day as well as the any meeting times with the client mostlybit occurs during the evening time as the client is from USA. Also keep a note on my desk if there is any followup need to taken with the end user regarding any ongoing issues.

By 8 AM i do monitor on all the servers and application's were working fine and prepare a monitoring sheet and share with the client.After having a look on servers i move on to check if there were any failed tasks occured in any system and check the logs of those jobs and reports to corcerned team whosoever is responsible for that particular task.

So by the 10 o clock in morning get few request to open connection's for systems and after geeting approval over that ccomplete the request of the end users as per the requests. Also we recieve daily mails regarding updates to be implemented in the system which i need to first implement in the test environment and after cheking that its working good test environmemt i implement it in the development.

Also as i am new in sap basis keep learning about the SAP from my colleage presemt in the shifts with me.Apart fr.this i also check the sap blog if i stuck in any issue to get the best possible solution.

Along with all this also the run and maintenance need to be taken care each and everyday so that the production will keep going smothly. Finally at the end do the shift handover to the next people of the shift. Usually i asked to work during the morning shift 7AM-4pm but as per the requirement also do evening and night shift., and as a sap basis consultant its quite normal to work to work in changing shifts.

After logging out at 4PM i do some rest and goes out to breathe some fresh air. And meet friends after comming back i logged in again to attend the client meeting which is always in evening as oer the Indian time because of the US clients.

Also i love my job because of the follwimg reasons.

Challenges - As a Basis Consultant always it brings new chsllenges and to solve them need to explore different possible soutions to solve the problems.

Work from home - As of now because of the covid situation's work from is tue best thing happened for me as it saves lot of time and expenses.

Opportunity to learn. - As a basis consultant i learn new thing every day because of the lot of responsibilites as. basis guy.

Meeting people - Also because of the nature of my job i get to communicate with different people from various parts of the world like USA, UK, Russia, indonesia, china and others few parts of the world.

Moving on i offer myself evening snack and again open laptop to learn skills for my future as well as for keeping myelf updated with the latest technologies snd trends.

I do my dinner at 8 PM and after that go for a walk before going to bed i made a habbit of reading since last few months. recently i am reading about the "Physiology of Money". i am.not much fond of using social media i make to bed till 10PM.
