I was sitting outside playing in the cold and I thought to myself, it must be 4 am here in California. I woke up and I just had one thought: "Let's get out of here". The sun was out, and the sun beats down on our faces as we continue our journey out of the great desert which seems to be crawling with insects. If you live in Central California, you are going to see more bugs this summer. What you don't see is the natural forces of nature at work on your face. All of us have our bugs on our faces, as do thousands of mosquitoes. There actually is a lot of good bugs on your face. But unfortunately, there are also a lot of bad bugs. We know that the negative bugs can actually have a lot of unpleasant, toxic or even fatal effects on the face, so don't let them take over.

Here are a few examples of bad bugs you should avoid the most this summer. These bad bugs are most likely to be found in the following areas:

  • Tunnel beetles

  • Egg-laying bugs

  • Scrat bugs

  • Spiked cockroaches

  • Stink bugs

  • Worm-eaten insects

  • Black flies

  • Moles cricket

The good bugs are not limited to North America, but are also found in other parts of the world. One of the best places to look for these bugs is in a desert environment, especially if you are in the Southwest, or in the deserts of South America.
