Dearest Self,

Happy, happy birthday!

I know you might not have anything new for yourself but I would like to remind you to just look at the brighter side. As today is your youngest daughters birthday too, be grateful that you can buy something for her instead but most especially be reminded that after such major C-Section 3 years ago you are alive and kicking.

Self, I know that you maybe so tired handling all the shits in life that is brought by either your parents decisions or by choice but then always stand up when you stumble. Remember that God would never let you down.

You might not be the best, but thank you because in everything that you do you are striving to be at your best.

Thank you for working over time to be a good employee, sister, mother, partner and daughter. Thank you for trying your best to sustain the needs of your family and I am so proud of you for standing still when you are having such a hard time. Despite everything, thank you for staying humble.

I know that deep inside you are scared. A lot is been happening in the world. Never ending traumatic news, climate change and war but then keep your faith. We will get this through. When your anxiety is triggered remember to STOP and look at those 2 angels who calls you Mommy. Always be mindful that they need you more than anything!

Today, please smile. Never forget that you brought light when there was darkness within your family.

Today, pamper yourself like you haven't done it before.

Today, be happy!

Again, happy birthday self! Wishing and hoping for you the contentment, happiness so as freedom from all the burdens. Thank you for winning every battles while crying your heart out because you gotta sacrifice. Please, continue to live with a good heart and never be tempted to anything that offers instant happiness.

Life may have thrown you so many stones but thank you because you are standing still.

When people around you do not give you any sort of appreciation then do it or give it to yourself. Do not be too harsh om yourself. Spend alone time and exhale all the negativity.
