25 days of Darkness
I never expected that one day I will experience not having electricity at all but I was wrong. It is been nearly a month of darkness in our hometown. On my way to the office at around 8pm for a 12 midnight shift I could hardly get any jeepney or cab for me to ride on. It is like people would then go home when the sun is out of sight. There could be a few who would stay outside could be because staying at home is uncomfortable due to the temperature but not enough to make you feel secured.
All is equal during calamities no classes will divide you when nature speaks. People were seen on evacuation sites and were put into one room with different families to make a room for others as well.
But so far the amount of drinking water went down from 50 pesos to 35 pesos some would say that on the nearest water refilling station on their end is only 25 pesos but its original price before the typhoon is 11 pesos. It is way too expensive yes, but we got no choice because water is so important especially drinking water.
As for the food and medicine, we went to Colon last Friday with my partner and found out that some people are still hoarding even paracetamol and anything that may cure cough and fever. For I do not know why but I bet there is another possibility that its because of the rising of COVID19 Omicron cases. Yes, we now have Omicron because of such a crazy cool kid who went out of the quarantine facility just to party! She came from the US and was never even invited to that party as per the host when interviewed. Her parents were also one of the culprit who helped her. She was even so boastful to say that she has "connections".
Just because of one irresponsible individual our lives are now at stake and borders are again strict.

We are adults and should be responsible to every actions we take. Others are making it as a joke especially those who were born with a golden platter. They are so full of themselves just because they are lucky that they forget to care about others.
Sadly, other people with the likes of Gwyneth Chua does not really care about the health or sake of others and would always do what makes them happy since they are wealthy.
...end thoughts...
Pandemic and typhoon is never a good experience but its we gotta standstill and fight!
Hopefully there'll be no other lockdown as I cannot stay home to work because we still got no water and electricity.

patience and contentment are the only real-world superpowers that humans have to defeat such calamities.
