NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine announced that the organization and Tom Cruise are working together to shoot a movie on the space station.

This was reported on Twitter:

"NASA is excited to be working with Tom Cruise on a movie aboard the space station. We need popular means to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to realize NASA's ambitious plans".

Elon Musk's SpaceX company would also be working in conjunction with Tom Cruise and NASA, in what would be the first film shot in space.

Reports suggested this was part of the upcoming Mission Impossible franchise production, but it appears that no studio is running the project.

Cruise has already shot films with themes related to space, but this takes film productions to another level.

It would be interesting to see that he can come out of this collaboration and although there are not many details, it will surely be something out of this world.

There are not many details, but that a NASA spokesman has spoken about it, indicates that the project is taking shape.
