Actor Jeffrey Wright, who will portray Commissioner Gordon in The Batman, has talked a bit about the film without revealing much detail.
"My take is — the way I explain what we're doing is, like with any film, we're working together to create a mood, to create an idea, a setting, a tone. This is the next evolution since 1939 when these stories began".
"This is the next evolution of Gotham. So I am working off the stage [director] Matt [Reeves] is providing and also working off what [star] Robert [Pattinson] is doing. We are trying to create something together that is our own, but is also Batman".
The film had to stop its recordings, like almost all the productions in the industry and it is still unknown when they will return to the set.
Director Matt Reeves said that before confinement, about a quarter of the film was shot. The premiere was scheduled for next year's summer, but has been delayed until October.
Few details are known about the film, except for some comments on the plot tone and photos of both the suit and the batmobile.
Hopefully the cast can return to the set soon and continue filming. This project has been in development for a long time, undergoing many modifications and a further delay would not be convenient.
